Summer Recipe: Caffe Shakerato

Ingredients

  • 8 oz tall glass
  • 8 oz crushed ice
  • 1.5 oz simple syrup
  • Double shot espresso or ristretto (~1.5 oz)
  • Chocolate syrup (to decorate)

Directions

  1. Combine the espresso, simple syrup and ice in a blender
  2. Run a bead of chocolate syrup about 2/3 down the rim of the glass and put the glass upright so the syrup can run down
  3. Pour the content of the blender into the glass
  4. Let it sit for a little so the layers can form and then serve
